KAMU Advocacy and Policy Efforts

KAMU participates in events year round to advocate for our members. Our staff is routinely involved in giving testimony at legislative hearings, coordinating KAMU Legislative Day, and taking every available opportunity to make sure our legislators and congressional leaders are aware of the great work our members do everyday.

Kansas Safety Net Clinics

The safety net in Kansas consists of 40 KAMU members, including 14 Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs), which includes the Kansas Statewide Farmworker Health Program, one FQHC Look-Alike, 24 Primary Care Clinics, and one other member who does not provide direct care, but supports our mission. In addition to the 40 main clinic sites, services are provided at 33 additional satellite sites for a total of 73 access points.
